Exhibitors Say Shot Show "Too Busy" for a "Public Day"

Results of a recent survey of all 1,400 SHOT SHOW exhibitors indicates that exhibitors do not support the concept of opening one day of the SHOT SHOW to the general public. By a margin of nearly 2-1, exhibitors indicated that time at the SHOT SHOW is already too tight and all the available time is needed for conducting important trade business. Many exhibitors also indicated that other opportunities currently exist for exhibitors to interact with the public. The overall concept of a consumer day was that the SHOT SHOW is the largest and most impressive collection of hunting and shooting-related equipment in the world and it would be desirable to share it with consumers if it made business sense to do so. Based on the survey results, the NSSF Board has voted not to proceed with the idea.
