Sport Dog Collars can be programmed to operate multiple dogs.  From the factory, the transmitter is preset  (to Mode 1) so the upper, lower and side button on the transmitter issues continuous, momentary and tone (respectively) to the collar shipped with the system.  If you wish to train more than 1 dog, you will need to buy the SportDOG Add-A-DogTMreceiver(s) and program the transmitter to operate in mode 4. For a complete list of the different modes and how to program your transmitter click here.  This article applies to the following models - SportDOG SD400, SportDOG SD400S, SportDOG SD-800.

Step #1.      Set the Remote Transmitter to Mode 4 on the Intensity Dial.

Step #2.      Program Collar Receiver #1

a.      Switch off the Collar Receiver.

b.     Press and hold down the On/Off Button. Notice that the Indicator Light of the receiver will light up and then shut off after 4-5 seconds. Normal flashing of the Indicator Light will be observed if the button is pressed too early. Repeat the process if this happens.

c.      Let go of the On/Off Button once the Indicator Light has switched off.
