Swinger is a spectacular 4 year old English Springer Spaniel. He has been used on a preserve for working behind pointers and going in and flushing birds in front of a pointers point. Once the birds are in the air, he sits and stays out of harm's way until you give him the command and then he goes and retrieves the birds right to you. He is absolutely as reliable as the sun coming up in the morning. He is a "dead bird" machine. You will almost never lose a bird. He is excellent in the water too.

For someone looking for the most versatile dog they could imagine, Swinger is your dog. He'll flush upland, retrieve waterfowl, curl up on the couch and be your buddy and take your kids for walks for you! LOL. Swinger is force broke to retrieve, house broke, here broke, heel broke, sit, load up, etc. When working him in the field if you want him to sit just say "sit" or "hup" and he'll sit down and wait for you. Then just say his name and he'll retrieve right back to you. Then just say "give" and he'll drop the bird right in your hand. He works great with other dogs or on his own.

Just as good as his field work though is his personality. He is an absolutely terrific family dog and is GREAT with kids. He'll ride around in the front seat of the truck with you if you want and you might even be able to teach him to get a beer for you!
