Yankee is an 11 month old Champion field bred English Springer Spaniel. His father is AFC Sunrise Second chance. His mom Elly is out of NFC FC Salmy’s Master Piece. He is a beautiful powerful built male with a huge head. Weighs approximately 45lbs. Very bold and friendly. Not house trained but crate trained. Sleeps in a crate at night. Just never really runs around the house unless being played with or cuddling with my boys. Stays in our fenced in back yard during the day. Hasn’t been hunted in the wild yet but has been in one upland tournament. He found 2 of his 3 chukars really quick. Both were very bold aggressive flushes and quick retrieves after the shot. Struggled finding his 3rd until our time ran out. Very birdy and loves to hunt. Hunts ok alone but does really good when other dogs are down with him. Will retrieve birds all day everyday, but will only consistently retrieve bumpers in the yard. In the field he will retrieve birds but will a lot of times will blink bumpers and start hunting. My opinion he needs to be force fetched. We bought him and his sister at 8 weeks old and at this time we are just going to focus on her. He is up to date on shots, heartworm and worming. Needs his rabies and his year old shot on his birthday. Plenty of time to get him primed for upcoming hunting season or start his field trial training.
