This is the third cross of this outstanding breeding. I was looking for a good chocolate stud to breed to and after talking to Mike Lettau from K&L Kennels I realized Bodhi was the one I was looking for. The breeding of Bodhi and Daisy brings together many attributes to better the breed of chocolate pointing labs. I am super excited to have this litter. I strongly believe these pups will have IT ALL. Bodhi being only 4 years old he has a lot left to show.
This litter will have the looks that most would love to have. The pictures of Bodhi on the Internet don’t do him justice I was in awe of the way he looked and acted when I first saw him. He is a very beautiful dog and if you know me I have to have looks in my dogs. Bodhi is a super star in the upland field I was told by Mike. He is a super loving dog that loves to learn and train. When we went to breed to him I took my wife and kids and they fell in love with him as they played with him in the house for quite awhile. I have personally watched Bodhi’s sire Cruz run several times and I love that dog’s big motor in the field and calm disposition off duty. Bodhi has a pedigree to speak for itself with two APLA hall of fame dogs.
Daisy is a very well bred female herself with multiple FC and AFC titles on her sires’ side. Her dam side is not very impressive on the title aspect but they are all great hunting dogs. I had never heard of a “pointing lab” until I owned Dixie Daisy’s dam. Dixie was my first ever lab and if she wouldn’t have had to teach me as much as I taught her she would have probably had a lot more titles behind her name. She was a superb hunting dog. Dixie has produced several titled labs including my Aaron dog 4XGMPR HR SAMS CREEK HIGH PREIST OF ISRAEL SH. Daisy is a small-framed female that has all the desire in the world to please. She is a great family dog that loves attention especially from my three daughters. Here at my kennel the family dog aspect is a big part of my breeding program because my 3 girls love the dogs. Daisy loves to retrieve and is an excellent marker. She has prey drive out of this world with a beautiful point. Her only down side is she is a little timid around other people and this has kept her from running the hunt tests. I am hopeful to run some tests with her soon, as she is starting to come out of that. Daisy is EIC clear by parentage, Cerf clear and OFA good.
This litter produced some very nice, well bred chocolate labs. We kept a pup from the last cross GMPR Sweet Whislin Tornado Tuff. Tuff is the dog my 6 year old ran in the APLA event at K&L Kennels in Higginsville, MO this spring and passed his CPR. He went on to earn his GMPR at only 14 months old. Unfortunately Tuff had an accident this summer and is no longer with us. This cross produces very easy training and eager to please, pray driven with lots of point and great family pets. Which will be able to run any venue with success whether it be FT, hunt test or just a good all around hunting dog. Here is a link to the video of my daughter running tuff in the water series.

The pups will have dewclaws removed and will be micro chipped and current on all shots, they will be well socialized from my girls and will be introduce to birds and water. The pups will have looks, brains, drive, longevity, great marking abilities, as well as an off switch making them excellent family pets, and big motors in the upland field.
