Description:

I have 5 Purebred/AKC Registered German Shorthair Pointer Puppies still available, 2 females and 3 males. They were born on July 8th, so they will be available for pick-up anytime next week. These puppies are Mosegarrd's bred if you are familiar with your bloodlines, and originated from Chris Riddle at 6R Uplands Kennels in Grinnell, IA. Chris has worked 30 years putting his time, money, and effort into this bloodline and the Sire of these puppies was hand-picked by him, as well as the breeding administered by him. All four immediate grand-sires/dams, as well as the sire has junior hunting titles in field trials. The dam does not, as I do not compete in field trials, however she is a very intelligent, well-trained, talented bird dog that has been hunted in several states for several kinds of birds. She points AND retrieves and often is a one dog show when it's just me and her. I just own the dam and the pups but it doesn't stop at the breeding. Our puppies have MAJOR advantages over puppies bought at large kennels! We begin working with our puppies as soon as they are old enough to function on their own. They've been introduced to live birds for three weeks now and are already creep pointing on live birds at 6 weeks old, as you can see in the pictures. We work them individually on live birds in net bags, immediately getting that sent in their nose that they will be in search of, hopefully for the rest of their lives. The next major advantage is these puppies are already introduced to gun fire. I started them with two short pieces of 2x4 clapping them together and then to a children's cap gun at 3 weeks old, then went to a .22 and am now shooting a 12 gauge several yards from them everyday. Although I can't guarantee they won't be gun shy since I can't guarantee what the owner will do with them, or how often they'll be worked with, I can say there is not one pup that is gun shy right now, and there is no reason for anyone of them to ever be gun shy. And the last major advantage is they've been introduced to water since about 4 weeks old. We have a kiddy pool in our yard with about 6-8 inches of water in it and we put them in it everyday and let them find their own way out. Most are just going in and out on their own, playing in it and getting a drink. There's nothing as hard to break as gun-shyness or water-shyness so it's much easier to expose them to these things as soon as they open their eyes, and that is what we have done. So like a said before, you won't find more pre-conditioned puppies anywhere else. In my opinion, you won't find a more calm, intelligent, trainable bloodline anywhere else either, but that is just my opinion!
