Shotgun Kennel is announcing a breeding to take place between Riot and Gracie with pups ready for homes in early summer 2012. We expect the breeding between Gracie and Riot to produce outstanding family hunting dogs.

Gracie is first and foremost a valued family pet. She has a quiet loving temperament in our home, while in the field she is relentless. She is a close working girl who has been a pleasure to train. She is what every versatile dog should be; she has hunted wild pheasant as well as grouse, woodcock and waterfowl. I also use her for guiding hunts at a local preserve.

Gracie has one of the most outstanding versatile hunting dog pedigrees in the United States with many Master Hunter titles as well as Versatile Champions in her background. She has inherited her hunting genes from a long line of proven hunting companions and has also been hunt tested. She has proven that pedigree on wild SD pheasants and Northern Michigan grouse and woodcock.

Riot is an outstanding versatile dog as well as devoted family dog to Lynn Taylor. I first saw Riot showing his stuff at an AKC hunt test and admired his style while in the field and his calm demeanor when with Lynn while waiting his turn. Riot is pursuing his AKC Senior hunt title and should easily finish prior to the litter going to new homes. In addition to hunting, Lynn keeps Riot busy with dock jumping, sled pulling and in the show ring where he is well on his way to being an AKC Champion. This should happen soon, as well.

Both Riot and Gracie have had health screenings with OFA certified hips and elbows. Although, both come from outstanding pedigrees, and have demonstrated their abilities afield, what does not show on the pedigree is what exceptional and affectionate family dogs they are to both Lynn and my families. My wife and I are committed to helping families with their new pups. We will personally assist you with whatever training you may need.
