Sire: Michael's Buddy IX

Buddy is one of Tom Hamilton’s studs at Bracken Fen Gundogs in Saucier, Mississippi. http://www.brackenfen.com/ Buddy is a big, strong yellow with excellent confirmation and a calm temperament. Buddy’s sire was FTCH Scapaflow Darra and his dam was Palgrave Rachel. Tom is an American that has trained with the top retriever trainers in England and has won English trials with his dogs while he lived in England. He’s been breeding top quality English/UK Labradors for 20 years. He selects his dogs for trainability, intelligence, looks, stamina, style, steadiness, and of course, hips/eye scores. Buddy is a fine example of the breed with English style hip scores of 0/3 which equates to an Excellent rating from OFA.

Dam: Chestlehurst Charlotte, UKC Started Retriever with two out of three passes towards her Hunting Retriever title . Lottie is a perfectly sized Chocolate dynamo! She’s 50 pounds and right on the breed standard for size. Lean and muscular, she’s the most eager and energetic working Lab you’ll ever want to meet yet she retains that calm UK temperament when relaxing at home with the family. Lottie is extremely gentle around children and a joy to have as a home companion. Her perfect size makes her easy to live with and transporting in car, boat or kennel is a breeze. Lottie was whelped from two Chestlehurst pointing Labradors, Morehead of Chestlehurst (Yellow) and Chloe of Chestlehurst (Black) and Lottie has proven to be a fantastic pointing Lab as well on both pheasant and quail. She made a lovely retrieve on her first snow goose before age 1, showing that you don’t need a 100 pound dog to fetch an 8 pound goose. Hips are OFA Good, Elbows are OFA Normal and her eyes are PRA clear.
