We have several litters this spring that will have a multitude of colors. There are the standard liver/whites, liver roans and the rarer (when I say rare, I mean with genetics this good) black/whites, black roans, solid liver and solid blacks. We have literally probably the best pedigree's in the whole country for these rarer colored dogs if you are looking for an upland bird dog. We don't breed for all that ground tracking, fur bearer junk so if that's what a person is looking for, we're not the place to look. Our shorthairs are bred with 2 main goals in mind, fast, stylish upland bird dogs with great personalities to be family companions and hunting buddies. That's why we avoid the more growly, pissy natures of the other genetics.

The sire of the litter is one of our lead guide dogs. He is NC Showtimes Rolling Thunder and 2x CH/ Reg CH Rawhides Blazin Josie bred. The dams are our professional guide dogs with genetics from 6x NFC Heide's Mighty City Slicker, 3x NC Rawhides Clown and Hall of Fame top producer Dixieland Rusty. We have literally hundreds of references available for our breeding program and take great pride in the bird dogs that we breed.

All Shady Meadows Gundogs puppy's go through the Bio Sensor/Super Dog Program. Read about it on our website. VERY few kennels in the country put this amount of time into their puppy's and it makes a night and day difference in the quality and health of the puppy. Just to state the obvious: they will be current on all shots and worming, have dewclaws removed, tails docked and come with full AKC registration.
