I’m so happy Dogtra YS300 works

Summary:I almost got into a fight with our neighbor just because my dog barked excessively. After that incident, I apologized to him since I realized his point. I would also complain if one of my neighbors had a dog who would bark a lot even during the night when everyone was trying to sleep. The first thing I did was tried to enroll my dog in a professional training facility. But it was just too expensive. I just couldn’t afford it. We then tried other techniques such as citronella bark collars and the like. But nothing really worked. The Dogtra YS300 was recommended by a friend and this thing worked instantly. It was amazing! I was very happy to have found this collar. It saved me from a ton of trouble especially with my neighbors. I just think even the lowest setting is too much for my dog. But she still learned how to stop barking. Now I just put it around her neck but don’t actually switch it on.

Good bark collar

Summary:I have a miniature pinscher who used to bark a lot. Everything they said that the collar would do, it actually did. She has completely stopped barking now. She has learned all that after I trained her with the collar. But I think the collar is still quite too big for small dog. But this is just a minor hitch. Overall, I’m very happy with this collar. Even customer service is great. I called them up a few times since I had some questions regarding the operation of the collar and they were glad to help me.

Summary:I can say that I’m pretty much experienced when it comes to dog collars. I’ve used them for many years and I’ve used a lot of different types. Based on experience, I have a couple of collars that have passed my standards. These are durable and very effective collars. And they give you results pretty quick. However, I had to use the YS300 since I just recently acquired a small dog and nothing from my previous lineup of collars would fit him. The fit is okay. However, the stimulation is inconsistent. There are times when my dog has barked more than 5 times before the correction is set off. Sometimes it’s on the 3rd bark and sometimes it doesn’t even correct my dog. Good thing my new dog is not much of a barker. The few times he felt the shock was enough for him.

Stopped working after a few weeks

Summary:After a month of use, I noticed that I was recharging Dogtra YS300 more often than before. At first it was after 3 days of use then it gradually shortened to just a day of use. It was frustrating having to recharge a lot. Then the battery wouldn’t charge anymore on our 6th week of use. I called customer service and they said I had to replace the battery. They gladly replaced it but the unit eventually stopped working a week after receiving the replacement battery. I’m very disappointed with this product. I didn’t expect it to break down so early. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Not for our dog

Summary:I was desperately searching for something that would help me stop my dog from barking too much. I decided to buy the YS300 based on the good reviews I read. I was very excited to use it on her. I was really looking forward to having peace and quiet at our home. Her barking was really taking its toll on me. When it finally arrived, I put it on her. I used the lowest setting just to be sure that it wouldn’t be too much for her. But I was wrong. Even at this setting, my dog got scared and it really upset her making her bark again and setting it off again and again. It was such a horrible experience. I was very frantic and was trying to calm her down so that I could get the collar off her. I finally did and she whimpered in relief. I’m never using a shock collar on my dog.
Cons:Horrible experience
