My dad is 78 years old this year. This is one of the last hunts we went on together. He now has health problems that prevent him from going, although he is still my scouter. No one is more passionate about wildlife than my dad. He taught me patience and to respect wildlife. He used to talk about abusing limits, polution, and the good old days before it was popular to do so. My dad was the only person who was always on time and never cancelled on a hunt. He also let me learn from experience. When hunting he let me call geese, ducks, and turkeys as soon as I could walk. He never critisized or scolded me for messing up a hunt. It was always encouraging. I have a son named Hunter and a daughter named Sarah and I only hope that I can influence my children the way he influenced me.
