Doc is a very hard going young male shorthair. Doc would make a great NSTRA dog. Doc’s biggest attribute is his nose. He has a VERY, VERY good nose. Top 2% type nose. Doc is a little different for a shorthair though. He’s not near as “emotionally needy” as many of them are. His personality is more “business” like an English Pointer. While Doc has a ton of drive, he’s also versatile and handles very well. He’ll work right in with the whistle if you want him too. Every dog has his quirks though so for full disclosure Doc is not the best at loading into the box. He does not like to leave the field (which I guess is good in a way too). He’ll go in the box, you just have to make him. He’d rather be hunting. I’m sure that will come around with age too though. All in all, a dog definitely worth taking to a NSTRA trial that a person could know that he has a legitimate shot at winning or having the best dog in the field when you go out with your buddies.

Doc is totally gundog trained. He is broke steady to flush, backs on site and retrieves to hand (natural, not force broke). He’s whoa broke, here broke, whistle trained (2 short blasts means turn, 1 long blast means “here”) and collar conditioned. Doc also has incredible genetics. He is a direct son of NFC/FC On Point’s Son of the Max. Doc’s mom is a direct daughter of NFC/NGDC/FC/AFC Mosegaard’s RB Rhythm N Blues.
