Rusty is out of our best producing female, Missy and FC BDK’s Play Something Country. Rusty has a beautiful, blocky head and is a GORGEOUS animal. Rusty is a shorter range dog and works excellent on a shooting preserve and for wild pheasants, grouse, woodcock, etc. If you’re a quail hunter and likes a dog that stays under 75 yards and generally between 20-50 yards he would also work excellent for that. Rusty has style out the wazoo and is a real pleasurable dog to hunt. He very rarely tests a person almost never needing any e-collar. He would also make a great family dog as he loves playing with the kids and is VERY affectionate.

As for his formal training, Rusty is whoa broke, here broke, heel broke, collar conditioned (both to reinforce commands and turn on the knick of the collar), whistle trained (2 short blasts and he turns and works back across in front of you and 1 long blast is like saying “here”) and is a natural retriever (and a VERY good retriever).
