About me: I am a small kennel in Okla. I am not a dog trader nor a puppy mill. I produce 1 to 2 litters per year and hopefully put out some of the most complete hunting shorthairs you can find, I have dogs all over the country and hadn't had any complaits. I have had several people tell me that this is the best dog I have ever owned ( That's my goal ) not just to sell you a dog. I am an avid hunter me and my dogs hunt approx. 2-3 days a week sometimes more, We have gone to Nev for chuckar and valley quail, SD for pheasants, Huns & Sharptail, Kansas,Tx and Okla for bobwhites, all wild birds after training my dogs do not see pen birds again unless we are brushing up on something we should already know. So my dogs hunt and hunt hard thru the end of Feb. they just don't set in the kennels ( that is important to me as should be for you to ) .

About Maverick : Maverick is 4yrs and is completely finished, He loads in truck or trailer, he points, honors, kennels on command, collar conditioned, retrieves to hand (land or water), very gentle and good with people (kids) and other dogs (doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body). Maverick hunts close ( 50yds) but will get out further if other dogs are out there.
He has 3 yrs of wild bird exp. He has been to all of the places mentioned above ( he was the only dog to get mult. points on chuckar). He has really done well in Kansas on pheasant and does a nice job on quail. " Maverick will never hurt you in the field." Maverick would make an excellent preserve dog. Maverick is stud quality he is one of the best looking shorthairs I have seen, He has sired 1 litter of pups that sold for around $600 a pup. The only reason I am getting rid of Maverick is that I want to go a different direction with my kennel ( its a hard decision)

If Maverick has any holes it would be that he neeeds more confidence to find birds on his own, He has always been on the ground with some pretty heavy hitters and the birds haven't been here the last couple of years. He would benefit greatly to be the lead dog or hunted by himself.

This is a bargin for a finished Blk & Wht. of this quality.

Pedigree: Maverick is almost all german his pedigree includes some of the best german lines ( Hege-Haus & Pottsiepen )
