Description:

Buck is a diect son of Ch. Rock Acre buckwheat. He is almost 2 1/2 years old and is almost all white except for a couple small spots on his ears. He is a quick mover and works hard while he's out. He works mostly within 75 yards with a few runs out a further at the beginning of a hunt. He keeps his eye on you while your in the field and is up front 90 % of the time. I havn't force fetched this dog yet, but he handles very nice, I have not had to put a collar on him in a while. He was used on a few guided hunts this year, and did good. He backs but tends to creep in if not whoa'd into it. He holds his birds well to flush. As you can see from the picture his tail is a little more curled than it should be. This is the only reason I am not selling this dog for more money. I hope you take a look at him, he is a really sweet dog, and a hard nose hunter. Below is a little info on his sire.

Rock Acre Buckwheat placed a total of 19 times, including four championship wins: Region 7 Amateur All-Age (2000), Dakota-Saskatchewan Open Shooting Dog (2000), Mid-America Championship (2003) and Southland
Championship (2003). Buckwheat also had four
runners-up: Sunflower State Open Shooting Dog Championship (1998), Colorado Open Shooting Dog Championship (2000), Dominion Chicken Championship (2002) and Border International Chicken Championship
(2002).
Buckwheat was a proven sire, his get including Ch. Rock Acre Blackhawk and the young dog Game Maker, owned by Eddie Sholar and handled by Tom Shenker. This young dog is something to watch run and point birds.
