Nitro is a 18 month old, beautiful NSTRA prospect. He has plenty of run, handles like a dream and a very strong nose. He’s one of the nicest Setters I’ve seen in years. He’s whoa broke, whistle broke, gun broke, here broke, force broke to retrieve, backs on sight and steady to wing. His retrieve is just flawless. He scoops up the bird and lays it right in my hand every time. Nitro pointed and retrieved over 60 wild quail last year in his puppy season plus has had over 100 liberated birds shot over him. This dog needs to go to a NSTRA guy or someone that wants a beautiful dog with good run. He’d make a great quail covey dog and handles just phenomenally to keep him in tight to find singles. He handles so good that with total ease an inexperienced person could keep him in with if they wanted a close working dog. He’s got the pedigree to back him up too. We don’t normally have Setters but he’s made me consider keeping him for a stud dog and buying a few nice females. He’s just that impressive of a dog.
