10 1/2 month old liver and white pointer. He has symmetric liver coloring on his head, all white body with some ticking. From impressive lines, Elhew Southwind, Elhew Mr. McGoo, 18XCH Miller’s Silver Bullet, Miller’s Chief. Tig has been hunted on wild pheasants and Sharptail grouse this past season. He is whoa broke, very obedient, has completed his table work, retrieves to heel and hand and will be steady to wing and shot, will back, is crate trained and collar conditioned. He’s a medium ranging hunter and is comfortable and hard hunting in all cover types. He handles and quarters nicely and is trained to respond to whistle. I’ve trained him on bird types including quail, chuckar, and pheasants. He has a great nose, intense point, and can cover a lot of ground. Potential as an exceptional hunting dog, great trial dog, or both. He is also a strong swimmer and enjoys the water. He will be proficient at retrieving ducks as well. He is amply enthusiastic about bumpers and retrieving, which will be useful for further development and proficiency in marking and handling. I train only a single dog at a time which is the main reason for this level of gun dog at such a young age. He’s also great with young kids and other dogs…very well socialized. For those seriously interested, I will take to the field/water to experience his work. Tig has only been exposed to an indoor/outdoor kennel environment. He will be ready to place mid to late May (12 months old). He is FDSB registered. Prefer a local purchase so I can spend time with the buyer for a smooth transition. Would be willing to continue training through the summer, as well as run him in national gundog events.
