We are committed to producing class bird dogs and advancing the Llewellin Setter breed. All our breeding dogs are trained on wild birds and hunted extensively, and submitted for OFA hip and elbow evaluation as well as DNA certified. Our pups and started dogs are sold with a written, 26-month-of-age health guarantee. This male was firstborn in his litter and has the greatest size and most classic traits. He is current on all vaccines and de-wormer. He is showing exceptional physical development, biddability, and prey drive. Our young daughters have been instrumental in socializing and caring for him, and thus, he will make an excellent companion, in addition to a class bird dog.

The dam, Setters Slough Waterpenny (“Penny”), is an attractive, athletic tri-color (white, black, tan & ticked) Llewellin Setter with a high, straight tail on point. She has an effortless, smooth gait, and catches your eye as she takes a line along a patch of habitat. Penny thrives on work, and her prey drive is intense. Penny’s dam is Blizzard’s Bomberstone Diva (“Diva”), who also resides at Setters Slough Kennel, and is out of Champion Shoeleather’s Tanner and Sherrod’s Pretty Polly. Penny’s sire is Top Knotch Tuff Wind’em (“Tuff”), who has consistently produced stunning pups with exceptional bird finding ability, and is out of Champion Arties Royal Mac and Sassy Lady Wind’em.

The sire, Setter Meadows Balsam (“Sam”), is a tall, clean coated orange and white Llewellin Setter with a poker straight tail. He is notably level-headed and biddable, with strong, natural bird finding ability. Sam’s dam is Calypso’s Blizzard, who is out of Hardman’s Smilin’ Jake and Southwind Blaze, and his sire is Bristle Ridge’s Shoeleather Hank, who is out of Shoeleather Sam.
