Maddie's coloring is a beautiful, Black and White patched with heavy ticking. She comes with the perfect mixture of champion German bloodlines producing one of the strongest hunt drives I have seen in this breed. Currently Maddie shares the house with two other dogs and a cat. In the back yard, she is accompanied by ducks, chickens, goats, horses, and occasionally a pig. Her intelligence is unsurpassed, exhibited by her ability to learn that Chickens and Ducks are not to be hunted in the back yard, but turn her out in a field and her hunting senses come alive (a beautiful thing I might add)! I have seen her many times still be hunting strong, when other breeds of bird dogs were ready to head back to the truck. She hunts as well on horseback in a pack, as she does on foot. Maddie is a lover. She plays with the cat like it is her best friend and to date we have not had one single quarrel with the other dogs, in the house or out. In addition to our kids (ages “7” & “10”), during the day Maddie shares the house with two children under the age of “1” that my wife provides daycare to. Regardless of the pulling on her ears, being ridden as a horse, having Lego’s stuck in her mouth, or jumped on while sleeping; she has never once exhibited any aggressive behavior toward anyone. As it is at Bedrock Shorthairs, it is also here. We simply do not keep or breed dogs with behavior issues. Second to hunting we feel your GSP should be your best friend.
Maddie is currently bred to "JD" of Bedrock Shorthairs. We are expecting the pups to arrive 9/17/10 and are currently taking reservations. Pricing is as follows.
First Pick: $100 (either sex)
Male: $400 (+ $100 for Black & White)
Female: $550 (+ $100 for Black & White)
