Maddy is confirmed pregnant, puppies due 5/22. This is your chance to own a truly vestatile dog. If you are seriously into hunting and want one dog that can do it all, these puppies are some of the best you can possibly get. Puppies will have tails docked, dew claws removed and Vet checked with first shots. They will come with both NAVHDA and AKC puppy papers.

This breeding is between two of the best known German Shorthair Pointer lines in the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) registry, Burkhart x Sharpshooters. These will be true versatile puppies great for duck hunting, upland bird hunting, goose hunting, tracking, and great house pets.

VC (NAVHDA Versatile Champion) Sharpshooters Super Charged “Nitro” – 25” tall 60lbs, Liver and ticked. Nitro is from a litter that earned breeders awards for Natural Ability, Utility and Versatile Champion. This has only been accomplished by a few NAVHDA litters! Nitro is used on grouse and waterfowl in Maryland and Virginia. Pheasants, sharp-tails and huns in North Dakota and Kansas. “Nitro” is owned by Sr. NAVHDA judge Mark Whalen. Nitro is a litter mate to Clyde Vetter’s “Cash”

VC (NAVHDA Versatile Champion) Maddy Von Burkhart MH (AKC Master Hunter) “Maddy” - 22" tall 42lbs. Liver with a white chest patch. Maddys litter also won a breeders award. Maddy is a very calm, gentle dog that shares her home with three young boys. Take her out in the field and it’s a whole different story! Maddy has unbelievable drive and is a tireless worker no matter what the task. Our hunts together have taken us all over the East Coast, Canada and the West for ducks, geese, snipe, grouse, pheasants, sharp-tails, woodcock, rabbits, turkey and almost anything else that moves.

Maddy had close to 100 goose retrieves along with a lot of ducks and countless upland birds this past season. Most weekends she is used for preserve guide work. Day in and out, she is always anxious to go.

Both dogs have had their hips and elbows tested as well as a DNA profile. Both sets of parents and grandparents have the "VC" title, this is the highest title attainable in NAVHDA.Only about 50- 75 dogs a year earn the VC title in all of US and Canada. Nitro needs one more pass to be an AKC Master Hunter "MH". GSP's are fun to train and very forgiving of rookie mistakes.

These puppies should be awesome hunting dogs. Maddy was one of the nicest dogs I have ever worked with, always wanting to please. Seriously driven to hunt yet a lap dog in the house. Maddy is as comfortable hunting upland birds as she is sitting in a duck or goose blind.
