Summary:We actually have 2 dogs – a big 5 year old Labrador and a smaller mixed breed dog that is turning one in a few weeks. We bought this product plus another set of collar and receiver. Our home is situated in a 20-acre property and we are surrounded by neighbors with a lot of livestock. We bought the system to help keep our dogs from going too far especially that there are a lot of creatures around that could easily get their attention. We don’t really plan to use our dogs for hunting. Our smaller dog has just been with us for around 16 weeks and we haven’t really trained her or anything yet especially with the cold weather here in Montana. So I was really surprised on how fast she was able to get the hang of the training. I watched the video first before I started training on this product and it was helpful. But I wish it was a bit more informative though. I followed the instructions on the video at first but later, I just focused on teaching or dogs how to come back to our house whenever they hear the tone. The results have been pretty amazing. Both of them quickly learned and I have no problems calling them back home. I’m really satisfied and happy with our purchase. We will be going camping this summer and I’m very excited to use this.

Summary:I have 2 very feisty dogs. One is a Black Lab and the other is a shepherd. I had to train them with a collar since they have a habit of running around for what it seems like forever and would only stop when they decide to. The Tri-Tronics Classic 70 G3 has been the best investment I ever had when it comes to my dogs. They quickly picked up on the training using the collar and after just a few sessions, my dogs’ behavior completely changed. Now we can go anywhere I want to and I can do this without having to put them on the leash. We can go camping without having to tie them up. Gone are the days when they run around whenever we are outside. They just follow behind me and obey every time I tell them to come. We even go to our regular Vet visits without a leash! We have been through a lot of different dog collars but nothing compares to the Classic 70. I’m very happy with this product and I had it at a very reasonable price. Customer service has also been nothing but amazing. They were very accommodating with whatever inquiries I had.

Summary:I haven’t really written any review for any product before this. I finally decided to write one since this collar is the best that I have tried so far and I just can’t help but share my wonderful experience using this product. About a year ago, I acquired a pure bred English pointer which people normally use for hunting. She was still around 12 weeks old back then and I wanted to train her to be a household pet instead of a hunting dog. I was able to stumble upon some resource material saying that this type of dog can be trained as a pet but I guess my dog was an exception. She was very feisty and she doesn’t listen to my commands. I enrolled her to a training course which lasted for 3 months. Her behavior changed but there she still had some bad behavior that wasn’t corrected in the training. I finally decided to use an electronic dog collar. Before using it, I did a lot of research first to learn more about using a dog collar. I also read about the different types of collars and finally selected the Tri-Tronics Classic 70. I was very happy with my purchase. I just use the lower level stimulation and she immediately obeys my commands. I’m not sure how good is the operating range but with what I can see now, I think there won’t be any issue. If you have a hunting dog that needs to be tamed, I would strongly recommend using this collar.

Summary:I have not much issue on the performance of this product. I previously had a collar and compared it to this new collar from Tri-Tronics. It seems to have gone a step backward. The older collar I used had a foam rubber casing and looked sleeker. If you are using the Classic 70, you would have to disassemble it and place each piece inside its designated slot in a little plastic tray.

Summary:I bought this collar to train my 60 pound Dranthaar. I was quite disappointed with its performance. Level 1 simulation was not enough to get a response from my dog and level 2 seemed to be too much for him. I previously used a Field 90 G2 EXP before I decided to buy the Classic 70 and I never had this problem before. If you are looking for a good collar to train your dog, better shell out the extra bucks and go for the Field 90 instead of the Classic 70. You will get your money’s worth when you buy the Field 90 especially with its high/low stimulation option.
