Summary:I have a beagle/hound mix and I bought this product to solve my control problems on my dog. He is easily distracted whenever we go out for a stroll. He usually chases after smaller animals like our neighbor’s cat. Another problem with him is that he just LOVES to bark at just about anything. It’s really embarrassing. But I don’t want to keep him locked up inside our house so I decided to use this collar to help control his behavior. Luckily, the collar worked perfectly. He is on his best behavior now whenever we go out. All I need is to put on the collar and give him a short beep whenever I have to.

Summary:My dog is generally obedient especially if we just stay inside the house. But once he gets outside and sees another dog, well that’s another story. I bought this SD-105 about a year ago because I wanted to teach my dog how to behave around other dogs. Since my dog was naturally obedient, I only had to use the tone correction. It helped a lot especially if we go out to the park. Even if he goes far from us, all I have to do is press the remote for the tone if needed to. I just wish I bought a rechargeable unit. I highly recommend this collar!

Great product, not so great batteries

Summary:I have a 2 year old Great Dane and I’ve been using this collar for almost a year. It helped me control my dog’s behavior. I’m knocking off 1 star from its rating because of the bad performance of the collar’s batteries. I was really happy with the results I got from this product but I had some issues with the batteries. They just lasted for about 21 days. It was quite a trouble especially during the first few weeks of training wherein we had to use the collar rigorously. I hope they change that.

Summary:I was once a dog collar critic. I was kind of doubtful about all the claims of it working on stubborn dogs. But when I finally used it on my dog, I was proven wrong. My dog has completely obeyed all my commands with only a few mistakes. The only problem I have with the unit is the batteries. I’ve been using this for around 12 weeks only but I have bought 2 sets of batteries since using it for the first time. And this is with little use. I quickly switch it off when we don’t use it so I guess I’m saving on battery usage by doing that but still get low battery life.

Summary:What I like about this product is that it is very easy and simple to use. It comes with all the instructions you need. This is great for first time dog collar users. I just wished that they have made it clearer that the “frequently bought together” batteries were not meant for this unit. It could have saved me a few bucks.
