Expensive batteries with short life

Summary:Everything went well for the first few months of using this product. Then we noticed that it wasn’t holding charge well. It got to the point that it wouldn’t last even a day of training session with even just the occasional use of the stimulation feature. Now, it can’t even withstand a single use of correction. Once you press the stimulation button, the unit shuts off. I’m really disappointed. I called customer service and was instructed to send the unit to them for them to check it out. It took them 3 weeks to tell me that the batteries are the problem. Tell me something I didn’t know! The batteries were quite expensive so I just decided to ditch the product and look for a better unit. Don’t waste your money on this product.

Disappointing battery performance

Summary:I own a dog that is generally well behaved with the occasional misdemeanor. So I bought this collar for me to control him in case he misbehaves and also for me to be able to walk him without using a leash. We have been using this for around 12 months now. About 4 months ago, the unit started needing to be charged every night because the batteries get drained after only a day’s use. Now, the collar is totally busted. It won’t charge no matter how long I plug it on the charger. I tried to get in touch with Dogtra and they said that it was my fault. They said that I shouldn’t have charged it every night. Well, I had no choice since the batteries weren’t holding charge long enough. Don’t buy Dogtra collars. The batteries suck and the customer service sucks even more.
Cons:Busted, Bad Batteries
