Summary:Our original plan was to hire a professional to install a fencing system that would help us contain our dog within our property. But it was very expensive. We didn’t expect it to cost that much. So we decided to look for a cheaper way to train our dog. A friend recommended this system since it worked for her with her 2 dogs. We immediately bought it and installed it the first day it arrived. It was easy to install and the instructions were very straightforward. Our dog was very stubborn but it only took us about a week to completely train her. I think the last shock she received was on her 4th day of training. After that, all she needed was the beep. This product is very effective and way cheaper than those high end professional systems.

I can go to work peacefully

Summary:Before my dog was trained with the PIG00-10777, I used to leave him inside the house whenever I go to work. I can’t let him out because he would always try to go over our fence. He usually can jump over the fence which is very dangerous since he might get lost while I’m at work. Or he could get hit by a car. He doesn’t like staying inside the house. He would bark a lot and would be very uneasy inside. One time, he chewed on my carpet. I guess it was his way of saying to let him out. I just had to do something about it. Lucky for me, this product quickly solved my problems. He quickly learned how to stay within our fence. Now I can let him out whenever I go to work. And he just loves to stay outdoors. He can run around and play with his toys. He is one happy dog and I’m one happy owner. Thanks Petsafe!

Works but collars not durable

Summary:Bought this system to train our 2 large dogs. They are very playful and they love the life outdoors. There was one time when one of them chased after a rabbit who wandered into our yard. It took me about 2-3 hours just to find him and take him back to our house. The system is effective. I have no complaints about its performance. The collars however are easily damaged. Maybe it’s because of my very hyperactive dogs. But they should have anticipated that. I had to buy a new collar after 4 months to replacement one that stopped working. The second collar had to be replaced after 6 months. But since my dogs were able to learn how to stay within the boundary, I’m still giving this product 3 stars for its effectiveness.

Easily damaged

Summary:I’ve had this system for over 2 years now. I’ve noticed a lot of things that need to be replaced or repaired from time to time. The first time it gave out it was because of a lightning strike. We had the lightning protection kit but I guess it wasn’t enough. The next problem we had was the collar. It suddenly stopped working. Maybe my dog bumped it too hard. The next issue was another lightning strike. It’s really becoming too much of a routine. I’m really frustrated since the system seems to be effective in terms of teaching my dog how to stay within our property. I just wished they made it more durable.

Summary:I’m not really sure why this product didn’t work for us. I was really expecting a lot since the reviews were saying a lot of great things about the product. But this product didn’t help me solve my problems with my dog. I use the highest setting but my dog is still able to cross the boundary. Maybe he just has a high tolerance for the shock. Is there such a thing? I tried to cut some hair from his neck just to make sure the probes are in contact with his skin but the same thing still happens. He still took right off through the fence. It’s now clear to me that I just wasted my money on this product.
