How to Turn the SportDOG Collar Receiver ON/OFF

The process spelled out below demonstrates how to turn the SportDOG 400 and SportDOG 800 collar on and off.  

To Turn the SportDOG Collar Receiver ON:

1. Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the back of the SportDOG collar receiver until the

receiver's Indicator Light glows and the receiver beeps 5 times.

2. Let go of the ON/OFF switch.

The flashing collar receiver means the collar is ready to receive a tranmission from the

SportDOG transmitter.  The Receiver Indicator Light will flash until the collar is then shut off. 

 

To Turn the SportDOG Collar Receiver OFF:

1. Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the back of the SportDOG collar receiver until the

receiver's Indicator Light glows and the receiver beeps 2 times.

2. Let go of the ON/OFF switch.

To make the battery last as long as possible, shut the collar receiver off in between uses.  The

battery will last approximately 20 hrs. in between charges, depending on how frequently it is

being used.
