Helping You Get the Most From Your Hunting Dogs

EMTTM Gel, The Scientific Breakthrough in Wound Care Technology

Every gundog enthusiast understands the demands that he places on his dogs while in the field. Inevitably, each trip afield is one trip closer to performing some form of field-side first aid.

Now, PBI/Gordon Corporation offers a revolutionary first-aid product, EMT™ Gel, which has become a must in the gundog enthusiast’s first-aid kit. EMT™ Gel offers a true breakthrough in wound care technology and is designed to aid in the management of chronic and acute wounds, traumatic wounds, cuts, abrasions, burns, other skin lesions and dermatological conditions.

EMT™ Gel is an all-natural product that has no known side effects. EMT™
Gel is designed to enhance the body’s own natural healing process by providing nutritive protein directly to the wound site which promotes rapid healing. EMT™ Gel also helps reduce bleeding, pain, and the chance of infection.

EMT™ Gel’s active ingredient is a medical hydrolysate of Type I collagen, which interacts with the wound at every stage of healing to reduce pain and promote healing by maintaining a moist environment around the wound. EMT™ Gel also helps to prevent bacterial infection and also reduces the potential of scarring.

“Whether your gundog has a cut from a broken bottle or a rusted piece of barbed wire, PBI/Gordon’s EMT™ Gel now offers a product which has become an essential part of any gundog enthusiast’s first-aid kit.” - GundogsOnline.com

EMT™ Gel’s tube is small enough to fit in any hunting garment pocket; it takes up very little space and is easy to apply. It is a great product to carry afield for emergency use prior to seeing a veterinarian.

I have used this product on several cases and found it to be a useful aid in the treatment of superficial wounds and EMT™ Gel also appears to be beneficial when used on acute and chronic cases.

As with any first aid treatment, ensure that all wounds are thoroughly cleaned prior to application of any healing agent. It is advisable, however, that a veterinarian should always be consulted when treating a deep, infected puncture, or chronic wounds. Topical therapy in these cases, although warranted, may prove insufficient by itself.

No product is a “cure-all” but EMT™ Gel does fill a niche between an incident in the field and having your dog seen by a trained professional.
