Max is a very handsome compact male that we (Bird Dog Labs) are proud to now offer as stud.

Max is extremely hard charging in the field. He has a very strong retrieving drive and loves to work. He puts everything he has into each retrieve and is an excellent marker. He is also proving to have a great memory and is doing well with learning multiple marks. Max is very intelligent and learns new concepts quickly. He is fairly sensitive to correction, but bounces back easily and quickly with a tremendous desire to continue. He has very strong nose and quarters naturally. We enjoy using him for both upland and waterfowl hunting.

Max has a wonderful disposition that is hard to find. Despite his intensity in the field, Max is very relaxed and mellow in the house. He has the on/off switch that many people are looking for. What sets Max apart is his happy personality and wonderful disposition. He is always happy and is one of the friendliest dogs you will ever meet. He loves everyone and enjoys playing with puppies. Everyone that sees him comments on how good he looks.

Max is currently in training and getting ready for higher levels of competition.

Max's sire is FC Blackwater's Last Resort "Finn". Finn is a son of FC AFC Blackwater Rudy and Dancin Dreamer Kate MH (daughter of FC AFC Dare to Dream "Cosmo"). Max's dam is Illini's Lucky Lindey QAA. She is a daughter of NFC FC AFC Five Star General Patton. Lindey earned her QAA status when she beat FC AFC Coolwater's Knockout "Punch" in a qualifying trial. FC AFC Punch (also a son of NFC Patton) was a finalist in the 2013 National Retriever Championship.
