TRAINING:
Monk has basic obedience. Sit, Come, Heel, Kennels, Fetches, and Gives.
He’s 100% Crate Trained. He has been in the house and does well but has been kenneled outside for the past 2 years. He has been Collar Conditioned, but rarely do we use it. He is a softer dog and requires very little stimulation to capture his attention in the field.
He responds to the whistle in the field and returns quickly. Loves kids and has a great attitude, lots of energy, and loves to retrieve! He’s curious and outgoing. He is great with kids and other dogs and loves to play. No signs of being an excessive barker, doesn’t climb, chew crates or kennels.
He has been trained mostly on single and double marks. He has great vision and is very smart. 70% Steady while throwing marks. Though he is not Force Fetched, he retrieves birds to hand, land or water, every time.
Rides very well in a truck dog box or crate and can be crated with other dogs. He is not aggressive and has a sweet personality. Has traveled across the mid-west and has no issues with travel.
