Max is a very intense, hard charging, disciplined gun dog. At a solid 75 lbs he exhibits the physical build necessary to handle the rigors of the most extreme waterfowl hunting conditions. He’s strong enough to handle big geese but small enough to hunt easily out of layout boats and blinds. He is quick on land and a very strong swimmer. Max displays a great demeanor, all business in the field yet just another member of the family at the house. He’s got the qualities we’re all looking for in a diehard retriever, personality, a good nose, determination, awareness, and incredible drive, as well as those sought by trial guys, a great pedigree, intelligence, style, trainability, and a good marker. He truly loves to retrieve and is a joy to watch work.
