Maclan is a grandson of the greatest bird dog I have ever owned and a son of a direct German import. He was whelped on 9-11-2020 He needs a little work and more field time. He kinda got screwed over a bit because not long after getting him my lodge burned down and shut down my outfitter business. So he didn’t get the amount of work he should have when he was younger. He has had some professional training done and that all just needs to be refreshed. I have been working on that. As well as getting him a lot of hunting experience on wild pheasants. From what I am seeing of Mac he is going to be undoubtedly an amazing dog he is solid on point and retrieves. He has a nose that is off the charts. He is starting to figure out he has to point pheasants closer so they don’t slip on him. He figures things out quickly and has great style to the way he hunts a field. If you are looking to have a GSP that will be one that everyone that hunts with you will talk about for many years to come, Mac is your boy. He is going to really catch attention after a few more times in the field. Very stylish and a big muscular dog. Lots of drive and doesn’t want to stop hunting. I see everything in him that I look for when trying to determine if a dog is going to be a good dog or a great dog. He is one of the greats in the making.
