Description:

Hank is a AKC registered, all genetic testing, stunning blood line 14 month Chesapeake Bay Retriever (CBR). currently 69 pound's and should be 80lb when full grown. Basic obedience training completed (but with CBR you are never finished), raised with other dogs, cats, socialized to small ankle biter dogs, big dogs, people, elevators, bus,helicopter, truck.
We got him though our breeder he is a liter mate to our bitch, the owner was Vietnam Vet how had health issues and needed our help so we paid him and took over Hank's care and started his training (only had him 3 weeks).

If you have never had a CBR before they are NOT Labs, they are driven, strong willed, bread to retrieve geese from the ocean so 20 ducks from a pond is nice life. To own a CBR you need to be consistent, educated firm trainer with patience and ability, CBRs are very pack family tied, they attach to a family and there is where they want to be, they are not wanderers but just want to be with their human/pack. They are one of the 9 original breeds to start the AKC in 1878. read this

Hank spent 2 months at professional gun dog school but they never followed up at home so he's familiar but absolutely not trained.
Sit, down, stay, take, give, off, find, work it, and learning more every day. great on leash, off leash, e-collar comfortable, not food aggressive, only barks to alert, no aggression, normal level of dominance for CBR. loves kennel in vehicle,

Issues are;
eats a bit fast, needs training, was fed human food in kitchen (by last owner NOT here) so he has expectations, counter surfer (working on it now should be remedied by x-mas), doesn't like to jump into car/truck but stays once there (working on it now),

Ideal home for him is a Marine household (USMC) but any service will suffice (;-) even a civilian if you are knowledgeable and have experience with hunting dog training. He is an amazing boy, and learning fast. One Hell of a dog.
