I have a 4 year old German Shorthair male I am selling. He is about a 58-60 lbs dog and mostly liver with tick color. He has an exceptional nose and tons of instinct and natural ability. His drive is amazingly strong and endurance is even better. "Duece" has been to a trainer last fall for a 5 week period working on basic obedience and whoa training. I would put his whoa training at about a 75% with a bit more work needed in the field on live birds. (that don't run) He doesn't want to naturally fetch birds but I have that at about 65% as well. Heal-75%. He is a very polite, friendly dog and great in the home. Very mellow around kids/home but flips the switch when in the field.

The issue with "Duece" is just as much with him as it is with me. He is a big running dog and I am not experienced enough to harness it! He pays attention to me and hunts being conscious of my whereabouts but unfortunately the majority of my hunting involves pheasants with the exception of a trip to Idaho chukar/hun hunting on two different occasions for 2 weeks. Ideally sharptails, quail, huns, chukar or any other bird which holds is where he really shines. He is a very good hunting dog and I feel if the right person found him he could be amazing! (even with pheasants) He is an above average dog now and I really feel this dog could be an upper level dog with the right birds, training and experience.
