Gitum can be protective and growls sometimes when meeting new people. I am un-sure about how he will do in a home with children. He is very very energetic..... I DO NOT think he is a “dangerous” dog and he plays nicely with my young nieces when they come to visit but it does take a while for him to “warm up” to most strangers and has not been raised with children or cats. Again, he is a very energetic youngster.
Crate trained / house broken / very clean in the kennel.

He will NOT be sold to just anyone. Suitable home ONLY.

Requirement: you must care about your dog, will TRAIN, and hopefully compete in test / trials/ etc .. Will not be sold to "heavy handed" trainers or anyone looking to “flip” a dog ... will ask for personal and/or professional references.

Reason for sale: I do not believe he is a field trial candidate... He can do MH level work but I feel that it will take a few more years of training to get him there. Gitum is very much a “puppy”, slow to mature. He needs further development on his marking concepts. Memory birds can be troublesome for him especially in triple set ups. With time he can get there however, due to recent move and other developments we have decided to let him go to make room for client dogs and a new puppy for our family/training program.

Gitum has no “issues” No popping, no-going, etc... he runs very nice blinds and handles with style and confidence. Poison birds, channel blinds, under the arc, etc... He has been trained on most MH level concepts. He will make someone an AWESOME buddy and hunt test player. Also, an experienced stud dog with 100% clear heath clearances.

He has been raised as a “personal” dog and this is a tough decision ... but he just does not possess the natural marking ability or maturity factor I want to breed back to my females
