Description:

1 1/2 yr old, DOB 08/04, Orange and White Male, intact, Pointer. Started on whoa training and has been hunted. Placed with a professional trainer who took him and hunted him in Texas on quail. Has a good nose, classy point and look.

He is in good health, wormed regularly, vet checked regularly. He has been a kennel dog all his life.

Breeding goes back to everything good about Elhew. Grandsire is Elhew Damascus. Great Grandsires are Elhew McGoo and Elhew Seahorse. Dam's side goes back to Miller's Showcase breedings.

Reason for selling:

Needs more consintant attention and a softer touch. I have too many dogs and my focus is on my two trial competitors.

Honestly I love the dog, his look, style and range are awesome. I am not so sure that he would make a good competitor in the right hands. I know he can be an above average hunter.

His biggest vice is the lack of handle. He is maturing slowly and still needs to learn to hunt for the gun and not for himself.

He needs time and effort that I can't afford to give him.

The price I am asking basically recovers what I paid for the dog and shipping on him Feb of 05. It doesn't cover the pro training/hunting visit or anything else. The price is fair and should be affordable while high enough to insure that someone will have invested enough in him to care about him.

I would like him to go to a home where he will get out more, be hunted and primarily cared for. He needs time on the ground, attention and patience.
