Holly is the core of our wild pheasant hunting string. As a person would expect from her genetics, she has an incredible nose. A-typical for her genetics, she handles very easy and is not strong headed (some line bred 25x CH Crow’s Little Joe dogs can be a “little” hard headed). Not Holly. She’s a sweetheart and very easy to hunt. Holly is one of the tightest bred 25x CH Crow’s Little Joe dogs in the country (maybe even the tightest bred!). Her mom and dad (4x CH Shady Meadows Little Joe Dan) are the 2 best wild bird dogs I have ever owned and she is well on her way to joining them (both were directly sired by 25x CH Crow’s Little Joe and her dads mom was also out of a littermate of Crow’s Little Joe).

The opportunity to own a dog like Holly is a rare, rare chance. It only happens when something happens that makes the owner part with her. Over the years, we have sold a lot of nice dogs and like everyone else, there’s some that you just don’t let go of. For us there was more involved in that decision than just how good the bird dog was. We have sold a lot of great dogs that if they would have been out of the genetics that we work with, would not have been for sale. Holly is the total package.

As far as formal training, she is completely gun dog trained (points steady to flush, retrieves to hand, backs on site), whoa broke, whistle trained, here broke, collar conditioned etc. Holly also has 2 guiding seasons on wild birds. She is sharp as a tack and a true pleasure to hunt and would not be for sale if we weren’t quitting the dog business.

Holly can now be bought for $2900 as we are currently doing missionary work in Guatemala and i don't forsee coming home before season is over. Any questions e-mail
