Description:

Colt is an 8 month old Deutsch Langhaar from our last litter. He is pointing planted birds nicely and loves to retrieve...especially in the water. He is house-broken, up to date on shots, and has a good foundation in basic obedience (sit, stay, come, heel, etc.). Colt really likes people and other dogs, but should not go to a home with cats. He is about 25 inches at the shoulder and currently weighs about 60 pounds. He is still growing and will end up being a larger dog.

Both of Colt's parents are fantastic hunting dogs. Both dogs have passed their VJPs and HZPs. The dam, Elli, is also a NAVHDA Utility Prize I dog and has passed a VGP. We have hunted her on grouse/woodcock/waterfowl in Wisconsin, as well as pheasants in South Dakota, and pheasants/quail/rabbits in Nebraska. She has also successfully recovered multiple deer by bloodtracking. Colt's sire, Colt Sr., is used mainly for pheasant/waterfowl hunting in Wisconsin but has also proven himself on pheasants and sharptails in South Dakota.

We would like to place Colt quickly since the hunting season has now started. We will consider any reasonable offer on him.
