Preston was a guide dog breeder and has returned to us for placement in his forever home. His obedience is dead on and his house manners are awesome. While he has not had any hunt training he is an excellent retriever and did retrieve a few birds in my front yard for me so it would not take much for him to be a very loyal hunting companion and/or family member. His mom is a JH title holder and hunts at the senior level. She did not begin training until she was 3 1/2 and acheived her title in a few short months after beginning her training. We have his sister and she was very easy to teach the force fetch proccess, very willing and he shows the same willingness. He is neutered and has all of his clearances which are; Penn Hips in the 90th percentile (equivalent to OFA - excellent), Elbows - Normal, Optigen A - normal, EIC - clear, Heart doppler - clear. He is a wonderful dog and will make an excellent companion for someone. He has energy but will settle as well. For more information and photos please contact us.
