Burke is an intact, 2 year old orange and white male English Setter, he is bred to the gills by Chuckarhill Kennels (Trena Cardwell), he is a descendant of 11X Ch Tekoa Mountain Sunrise through 5X Tekoa Mountain Patriot, Burke has all the quality of a fine bird dog and can be further trained for walking field trial . He is very hard working on the ground, shows tremendous dedication in finding birds, he points them hard & holds it tight. Burke has good ground speed, stays busy, runs a nice shooting dog race (60~150 yds) with a high cracking tail over his back, his natural range is perfect for NSTRA trials, he handles easy, checks back for you and come to your feet when called. Burke is broke steady to wing, breaks to retrieve at shot, he is gun broke, collar conditioned, self load in kennel, loves the water, OK natural retrieve, he has had one season of wild bird hunting, mainly quail / pheasant and does a great job for his age.
