A person would have to be real serious to want a dog like Hitch. He was
$5000 as a puppy. His dad is Champion Rock Acre Blackhawk and Hitch's mom
is 13x Champion Elhew Swami. His genetics are second to absolutely no one.


He points, backs and retrieves as beautiful as any dog you would ever see
and he has a 40 yard nose which that is the most important thing to me (and
a true rarity for an Elhew dog. Obviously it comes from his dad).

Hitch was owned by a client of mine that due to personal family circumstances
can't give him the work that he needs this year. He paid $7800 for him as a
trained dog. Straight up, most people can't afford a dog with those
genetics and it only comes along once in a lifetime.

Hitch is as nice as any foot hunting dog out there. He does have one
trainer developed hole though and that is whoever whoa broke him put too
much pressure on him and he comes back to my side when whoa'd.

He points and backs flawlessly though so actually using the whoa command is not
necessary and most people would never see that hole. I'm going to fix it
for him though so that he is perfect when he leaves here.

Hitch's personality is soft and gentle but with a lot of drive. He's one of those
dogs that with a bunch of wild bird hunting will probably need to be handled
more to keep him in because his bird drive is great and I'm betting with his
genetics and drive is going to be a real barn burner at 3 years old. For as
much bird drive as he has though he handles like a glove. Hitch could
easily be a NSTRA champion which I'm sure the horseback guys that run these
lines will frown on me saying that but that's what his range will do.
