Hoss is a big, strong, BEAUTIFUL black and white 2 year old male. Hoss is sired by Champion Mt Nebo's Zorro- 2006 National Amatuer Shooting Dog Champion. Hoss is whoa broke, whistle trained, here broke, gun broke and will retrieve to hand naturally after he gets to know you. Hoss has a great nose and is a fast, hard hunter and runs with a cracking tail. Generally he stays under 60 yards on his own but when he gets real birdy he'll push on out a little farther if you let him. He's collar conditioned and 1 nick on the collar turns him to let him know you're changing direction or he's just getting out further then you want and he checks right back. He's a very easy to handle dog. Actually, my 5 year old can handle him. For such a muscular, strong dog he's very eager to please, definitely not a hard headed knuckle head. He ways about 55-60 lbs. He's real tough though as far as stamina and he has a lot of bottom. He'll give you 110% whether his tongues dragging the ground or fresh out of the box. He will make a top notch preserve, plantation or wild bird dog. He's got plenty of nose and bottom for south Texas and smarts for wild pheasants. All in all, he's a great bird dog with great breeding. Hoss is $2500.
