In a nutshell folks, I took my 2 very best guide dogs and bred them. Cy, my stud is 11 and is in the waning years of his guide dog career. Thus, It made sense to breed him to my all-star gyp Rousey who is a phenomenally bred Fiddler dog who is a genetic freak. Choke bore nose, winds birds from 30-40 yards all day long (as you can see from the picture in the wheat field) Fast, snappy, high cracking tail and has a KILLER head crank. And did I mention the dog can flat out haul the mail? Yet, still has the common sense to stay within foot hunting distance when guiding. A pure sweetheart of a dog. Very gentle with a Great disposition. A very, very intelligent dog. Completely broke at 1 year old, and thats no fish story.

Now onto my stud.
Cy is an Elhew bred dog. He is my foundation stud. He is a slower working, very methodical track dog. He is very legitimate about his movements. He is extremely smart and not much gets past him. Im a tough critic and have always said Cys pedigree is a C+ on an A/F scale. Its not got the wow factor like Rouseys does per say. BUT,he does have some very nice old school Elhew blood (Slate Creek Doc, Damascus, Fibber McGee, Elhew Royalty, etc.) back in the 3rd,4th,5th generations and I think that is what comes out in him because he has NEVER thrown a bad pup. EVER. He has consistently thrown beautiful, wonderfully conformed litters of pups that have ALWAYS been NATURAL RETRIEVERS. Some even competing and titled in NAVHDA. Proof that pedigree does'nt always a birddog make... Cy himyself is a very handsome dog. Big blocky head. Deep chest. Long legs, big bone structure, a good 65# dog in trim hunting shape.
