Riley is a 3 year old liver roan female with excellent all-around versatile hunting ability. Her search is large and independent both in field and water. Her pointing skills are excellent as are her retrieving skills on land and water. Her water ability is as strong as any I have seen evidenced by her making several blind retrieves in excess of 300 yards on her first ever duck hunting experience. Riley is also a natural backer. She is a sweet and affectionate dog that loves people and other dogs. Her performance skills are above average, and she has demonstrated them in the Versatile Hunting Dog Federation testing system. Riley was completely trained and handled by Bradley Spencer, a youth member in our VHDF club, for both her HAE and AHAE tests. Riley earned 86 percent on her Hunting Aptitude Evaluation scoring 60 points out 70 possible. She also did exceptional in the higher level Advanced Hunting Aptitude Evaluation where she scored 96 percent or 174 out of 180 possible and earning a rare 12 point score in the Search behind the Duck. Her conformation and structure is far above average for the breed where she has been rated 11 in both coat and conformation by the Versatile Hunting Dog Federation testing system Her hips are certified HD free by PennHIP and rated at .48 L, .42 R. and she is certified HD Free by OFA with a rating of OFA Good. She is 60 cm tall and 61 cm long weighing in at 57 pounds. Riley is a highly intelligent, cooperative dog that is a true powerhouse in the field.

Luke, pictured above, is young male that was born in 2008. Luke is the consummate versatile hunting dog with exceptional talent in the uplands and water, before and after the shot. He is extremely beautiful with exceptional conformation and temperament. In 2009, Luke was tested in VHDF and scored 71 in the HAE and 174 in the AHAE (click here to view the official AHAE scores). In addition, Luke has been rated "Excellent" by VHDF in conformation and coat Luke's hips are certified HD free by Penn HIP with a DI of Left .32 and Right .32, ranking Luke better than 85 percent of the dogs in the German wirehaired pointer breed.
