Description:

I know this is my first post, hopefully the rules will allow...A long-time member of other hunting/dog forums, came across this fine forum just cruisin' around...
~~Accepting Deposits - Will post pics as soon as pups are born~~
Both parents on site...Not a big-time breeder, but I have two very high-quality Labradors and they have successfully bred.

Sire is:
Out of Trieven, Kellogg and Swanson lines...Superb Bloodline...Do an internet search to find out more...They are a strain of "Pointing Labradors", which if you hunt birds, will give you the best of both worlds...If not, they will make excellent and affectionate pets...Again, look them up on the internet...You will be impressed!
He's BIG (the kind of dog you're not too worried about at the boat dock), strong and good-natured...10 months old and just weighed-in at exactly 80 lbs on the veterinarian's scale on 27 August.
An absolute pleasure to be around...Obedient, gentle, keen eyesight and points naturally...Lots of drive...Haven't encouraged the pointing too much yet as he runs with a non-pointer and of course there's always the competition factor between the two that kinda' stymies his pointing.
Beautiful conformation...A nice, beautiful black coat...Individual hairs are fairly long (but most certainly not "feathery")...Thick undercoat & Big otter-tail rudder.
At six months, he sat in ice-cold water up to his neck as I was throwing dummies without a whimper-one.
STRONG hips...Can stand on his hind legs (like a poodle)...Still has a lot of puppy in him as he doesn't realize how big and strong he is.

Sire's dad is a "meat dog" out of the south Illinois/Missouri area...Lots of birds under his collar...Owner plays the circuit a bit and I think he made his SH title.

Grand Father is GMPR Augie's Cactus Jack MH...One of the finest pointing Labradors around (and Jack routinely passes his pointing traits very well to subsequent generations)...Many, many high-quality dogs in the pedigree.

Dam is chocolate...Out of Stargate Kennels in Collinsville, Texas (see www.championchocolatelabs.com)...A little less known, but she's got great drive, conformation and temperament...Very loving and observant...Keen marker and excellent nose.
An absolute athlete...65 lbs of pure muscle.
A little more of the English-type, but certainly not overly heavy or cumbersome like English Labradors are typically built.
Her coat is a little shorter than the sire's, but a little more oily...One shake and she's dry.

I think $250 is a good reasonable Asking price for a pup from these lines...Again, not a big-time breeder, but certainly not one of your average ordinary typical backyard guys either...My two were carefully selected over the course of about a year...Passed over several other pups to get what I wanted.

Why so cheap if I am bragging so much?
I dunno...This is my first swing at it...
...And I'm old school and also know the value of all our hard-earned dollars!
Just a hunter-type guy working my way to retirement.

I'm retired military and now work in the aerospace industry, but think I found my retirement calling in maybe doing a little breeding, guiding and training in the future and I gotta' start somewhere...

Not sure where it will take me, but the ride will be fun.

Call my cell (three-one-eight) 7 five 1-3535, reply or PM for additional info if you're interested.
Estimated whelp date 10 September.
