After the passing of Mr. Ed Emerson, Jim Emerson (Clear Spring Kennels) and I were fortunate enough to acquire several of Mr. Ed’s prize setters. One of those being Homeward Moonlight, call name Molly (CH/R-U CH Ragged Hill Nip X Homeward Speck) Molly is an exceptional individual who exhibit’s great confirmation, class, brains and superior genetics. Ed and Jim handled Molly to several open and amateur placements. Molly was recently bred to Ragged Hill Danny (Ragged Hill Bandit X Ida O’Pippin) Danny is a classy horseback shooting dog owned by Mr. Harry Townsend and handled by Bruce Jacobs. Danny and Molly both carry the lines of Champions like Ragged Hill Nip, Road Agent, Blue Grass and Flairette. Danny’s bxxch line is also very strong with dogs like, CH. Ida O’Priscilla, Hamilton’s Blue Diamond and Hicks Rising Sun.

Just as a side note, Speck’s sire was Homeward Breeze, in the 1989 US Quail Shooting Dog Futurity Ed finished third with Breeze against a field of 115 entries.

Needless to say we are very much looking forward to what should be an exciting litter of setter pups. Pups will be priced at $500.00 plus all shipping costs with a preference to field trial homes. At this time 3 pups are spoken for. Ultra Sound confirmed this morning. Pups expected in early April.
