At "Wild Rose German Wirehaired Pointers" we've tried to breed the truly versatile GWP that can be your family member as well as your hunting companion. Due to the overwhelming response on our last litter (Dec 07) we have decided to have one last litter, expected March 2009. The pups out of the Dec 07 litter have an excellent coat with full furnishings and proved to be enthusiastic water dogs/retrievers (all were sold to hunting homes). They search well for upland game birds and point steady, up to the shot by now.
The dam "Ember v.d. Bismarkeiche", imported from Germany as a puppy, has proven herself as a hunting dog, as well as her parents "Cent v. Iberg" (VJP 72, HZP 176, VGP 336/Prize 1) and "Assi v.d. Bismarkeiche (VJP 70, HZP 181).
The sire "Hunhaven Chukar", bred by Chuck Johnson from Montana, has a 112 score on his NAVHDA Natural Ability Test and a 171 score/Prize 2 on his Utility Test.
