About this litter:
This is a repeat breeding of Jay x Belle. Pups are due Feb. 20th. Pups from previous two litters are superior hunters, and demonstrate this breeding produces rock-solid pointers with outstanding hunting desire, excellent noses, and instinctive retrievers.
I am a private individual, not a commercial breeder. The sire & dam are my personal hunting dogs. I use both dogs successfully in the Dakotas and in Michigan for hunting wild birds (Pheasant, Sharptail, Huns, Grouse & Woodcock) and spend 3+ weeks bird hunting out west each Fall. They are natural retrievers. Both sire and dam have demonstrated intense hunting desire and great competence on wild birds under varied hunting conditions. During the 2006 season alone, these two dogs pointed more than 300 wild pheasants in the Dakotas. The pups from this litter have potential for competition at all levels, and will be exceptional hunting dogs like their parents.

Sire: Jay, from K-Hawk's (Iowa) weighs 52# , will be 7 years old in June, and is from a winning Field Trial breeding. Jay's littermate sister FC “Ruby”, finished 4th in the 2004 GSPCA National All Age Open. His littermate brother is also an FC. Jay is a Dixieland's Rusty grandson. Jay’s sire, FC/AFC Rusty’s Blue Earth Rexx, was the 1998 National Chukar Champion. He is an energetic dog with plenty of range, very sweet tempered, a big people lover, and trained easily. Jay will hunt all day, every day, for at least a week if given the opportunity. He has a superb nose and is a bird finding machine! His hips are certified OFA Excellent.

Dam: Belle, is from a Wisconsin Hunt Club (Caden’s) breeding that combined 1999 National GSPCA Pheasant Champion, FC Burr Oaks Hoosier Buddy, with the highly respected “Shooting Starr” NAVHDA bloodline. Belle, a rock solid-naturally staunch pointer, trained easily and is very biddable. Hips: OFA Excellent. She has a super nose and is a strong natural retriever. Belle has great hunting desire but adjusts close enough for partridge or woodcock in thick cover. Classy points--high on both ends. Good in the house. Belle’s littermate brother is FC Caden’s “Cooper”. Belle will be 6 in November, weighs 48#, and is half-sister to 2004 NFC/AFC Dunfur's Where You Ben.
