On June 1, Vixen whelped a litter consisting of 4 pups. We were disappointed with the small number of pups. However as they started to grow, we soon realized that this was no ordinary litter. They define the word class. We have been breeding pointer puppies for years and have bred to the best of the best champion sires. Vixen is a 2 year old out of Mrawsum and a daughter of House’s Rain Cloud. We had planned on breeding her to one of the leading champions on the major circuit but we heard about a son of Mrawsum belonging to a gun dog trainer living near the coast of S. C. that was producing some outstanding off spring and decided to check it out. We made some inquires and learned that this trainer develops and sells about 40 or 50 top gun dogs a year. We called him and ask about the Mrawsum son he owned. He informed us that of all the hundreds of dogs he has trained over the years that this dog ranked #1 or #2. We decided to try one litter and remain amazed at the results. We are offering 2 of these pups for sale to serious field trialers only. A male and female, both are white, orange and ticked.
