The American Pointing Lab Association (APLA) just recently announced a new APLA Hall of Fame to recognize the best pointing labs of all time. Six dogs were inducted into the HOF. The pups in this litter will have 9 occurrences of the Hall of Fame dogs in their extended pedigree!!!

These pups should point in their sleep!!!

Star has a great personality and loves everyone she meets. She has had a very strong pointing instinct from the time she was 7 weeks old. She is also an excellent hunter, hunting ducks and geese, but her specialty is pheasants.

Star has several Grand Master pointing retrievers AND several Field Trial Champions on her pedigree, including FC Pin Oaks Texas Rex, FC AFC Dare to Dream and FC AFC Crow Rivers Malakry's Cougar.

Star is a Master Pointing Retriever, a Seasoned Retriever with UKC and a Junior Hunter with AKC. She will be working on her SH, HRCH and GMPR titles this summer after this litter is born.

Star is EIC Clear and CNM Clear and she has good hips and normal elbows.

Many who have seen Bear perform in hunt tests or hunt pheasant or waterfowl have said he is a once in a lifetime dog (for his overall skills, drive, personality and trainability)!

Bear is as smart as they come, is super trainable, has endless energy to hunt upland or waterfowl, points like a rock and is super friendly and mellow at home.

His on/off switch is a good as it gets!

Bear is the ideal hunting family dog! (He's pretty darn handsome too!!)

At 3 years old last summer, Bear achieved his 2X-Grand Master Pointing Retriever, AKC Senior Hunter and HRC Hunting Retriever (Seasoned Retriever) titles.

Our goal is for Bear to become a APLA 4X-Grand Master, AKC Master Hunter and HRC Hunting Retriever Champion by the end of this summer. He already passed his first attempt at the HRC Finished Test last summer. According to the APLA website, there are only two other dogs in history with all three titles!!!!

UPDATE (20APR11): BEAR JUST PASSED THE MASTER POINTING TEST TWO MORE TIMES THIS PAST WEEKEND AND IS NOW A 3XGMPR!!! HOPING TO EARN THE 4XGMPR TITLE IN TWO WEEKS!

Seven of the current 25 4X-Grand Master pointing labs are related to Bear!!

Bear is clear on every genetic test known for labs!! (EIC, CNM, PRA, RD/OSD) and has excellent hips and normal CERF, elbows and heart!

Bear is a serious hunting dog, not just a hunt-tester. He has been on over 50 hunts in the last 4 seasons in ND, SD, KS and CO. As mellow as he is around the home, you would never believe his energy to hunting pheasant!! He would hunt until his heart stopped beating if we let him!!
