Welcome to Hungry Ridge Kennel, LLC.
We have started this kennel with one goal. Provide the best versatile hunting & companion German Shorthaired Pointers available. We grew up hunting & fishing in Wisconsin for most of our lives. Deer hunting was our main focus, but we loved to hunt birds and spend time outdoors. We moved to Idaho in the summer of 2006 and could not believe all of the outdoor opportunities that exist in this great state.

We have always wanted a German Shorthaired Pointer and in the fall of 2007 we bought Odessa a solid black female. We immediately fell in love with her. She has unbelievable prey drive and will do anything for game. We have been hunting pheasant, quail, chukar, geese and ducks for the past three years and she continues to impress me every time we go out hunting.

In the summer of 2009 we bought Rebel a liver and white male. That summer we ran Rebel in a NAVHDA Natural Ability test and he received a score of 104 (Prize II). Like Odessa, Rebel has unbelievable prey drive and loves to hunt. He is very easy to train and loves to please. Both dogs will be running in a NAVHDA Utility Test in the spring or early summer of 2011.

Over the past year we have worked with or trained about a dozen dogs and ran five dogs in the NAVHDA Natural Ability test. We love watching the dogs work the field and when they go on point it is a sight to see. It never gets old seeing a GSP on point, they are amazing dogs. If your dog is in need of training please call us to see if we have an opening to take the dog and train them out.
