Tara, the mother, is a very elegant looking female with very good front & rear angulation, very nice neck, topline, tailset, forechest and bottomline. She maintained her excellent conformation rating against 122 dogs in Germany. Tara is a very passionate hunter with high drive in the field, forest, and water. She has a staunch, stylish point, and excellent nose. The use of nose to track a wounded duck on the water is phenomenal. Tara is easy to handle and works well for any handler.

Zunder, the sire, is a harmoniously structured, full-bodied, powerful dog. His use of nose and search pattern during his waterwork was noted as "outstanding." During his Solms test, the duck eluded him for over 45 minutes and slipped into cover on three separate occasions. Each time he re-acquired the ducks' scent trail and did catch the duck at the end. His retrieve was flawless.

His field searches are very intense and systematic. He carries his nose very high into the wind. He characterizes the Pöttsiepen-Wittekind bloodlines by his expressive appearance with a very good character.

These pups will be excellent, truly versatile hunting companions that are also calm and pleasant family dogs in the home. They are pointer, retriever, and blood tracking dog all wrapped into one beautiful package.
